Repair methods for engine cylinder failure in diesel generator sets:
1. The sound of the diesel engine when the cylinder is pulled in the initial stage is not very clear, but the oil rushes into the combustion chamber, causing an increase in carbon deposits. Gas leaks into the crankcase during compression, causing the engine oil to deteriorate. When accelerating, oil flows from the oil filler port and crankcase ventilation pipe. At this time, it can be diagnosed as initial cylinder pulling. At this time, the piston and connecting rod group should be cleaned and inspected, the engine oil and oil filter element should be replaced, and the oil pan should be cleaned. After reassembly and running-in, it can be used for a period of time. The sealing of the cylinder will be improved, but the power will not be as good as before the cylinder is pulled.
2.The diesel engine in the middle of the cylinder cycle has serious air leakage, and the abnormal sound similar to cylinder knocking is relatively clear. When the oil filler cap is opened, a large amount of oil smoke comes out rhythmically, the exhaust pipe emits thick blue smoke, and the idle speed is poor. When inspected by the oil cut-off method, the abnormal noise is reduced. If the mid-term cylinder pull occurs in multiple cylinders, the abnormal noise can be weakened but cannot disappear when inspected by the oil cutoff method. For mid-term cylinder drawing, if the drawing marks on the cylinder wall are not deep, they can be polished with a whetstone and replaced with piston of the same model and quality and piston rings of the same specifications, and the abnormal noise will be greatly reduced.
3.In the later stage, there are obvious knocking and air blowing sounds when the cylinder is pulled, and the power performance is also significantly reduced. When the speed increases, the sound also increases, the sound is messy, and the diesel engine vibrates. In severe cases, the piston may be broken in the cylinder or the cylinder may be damaged. In this condition the cylinder liner, piston and piston rings must be replaced.
